I Love Sundays.....

seriously is Sunday not the best day of the week? for me it is. Sunday is the one day of the week where you can get spiritual, emotional, mental and physical rejuvenation all in one day. Its the one day where my whole family can be together without having school or work or house cleaning or yada, yada, yada. ITS AWESOME!!!! today was no exception to that, it was a real wonderful day, we watched a couple of movies (license to wed), caught up on the Office, took naps, played kick ball, played a few games, and had a great dinner and just vegged out, all my favorite things to do. today we were a little late to church since we took some time to actually take a few pictures of us as a family finally dressed up. here is our couple of attempts at getting a family photo:

attempt 1

attempt 2

"yeah Chase has had enough, but hey we tried right?"

On another note... who out there thinks that the cartoons lately are lame, repetitive, annoying and boring??? MEEEEE!!!!!! holy cow coby just loves "Thomas the Train"," Wow,wow, wubzy","Backyardigans", and so on.......can we say boring! what ever happened to shows like "gummi bears, ducks tales, tale spin, animaniacs, rugrats, doug, pepper ann, looney toons, mickey mouse. CLASSIC!!! well anywho I came downstairs from changing chase to find coby on the couch like this:

his face is like DUUUHHHHH!!!! and what may you ask is he watching?..............

that would be...."WOW,WOW,Wubzy!" BOOORRIINGGG!!!!

heres a cute little picture collage of Nate and Chase. gosh is he getting big or what? his little personality develops more and more everyday. we just love him! How dang cute is he?!

a day at the park.....

is just what we have been needing! this winter has been the longest winter of my life. Six months to be exact! Now that its over I'am just ecstatic! and so is Coby. My Friend Robyn and her kiddos came over yesterday and we walked the kids down my block to the park. Coby was so excited he could hardly contain himself. Coby is such an outdoorsy kind of boy, he loves dirt and he just loves to run and jump and play hard. he was totally in his element yesterday and the weather couldnt have been more perfect a wonderful 72 degrees (for my far away fams. information). although it was a blast it was hell (pardon my french) when it was time to go. I mean you try telling a crazily hyper-active 3 year old boy who has been couped up in a house for six months that its time to go in five minutes and then five minutes are up and its time to go....ummm yeah right, he pitched the biggest fit, but I think if I was in his shoes I would have been the same way. well heres a few pics of our fun day:

I just love picture collages! **the pic.on the bottom right. is right after I strapped him into the stroller during his temper tantrum. he so funny this boy, because the second I pulled the camera out to take a picture, he was all smiles. he loves to take pictures :)

of course this is how Chase contributed in on the fun :)

WOW! 3 posts in one day I'm on a roll! yeah dont expect it to last though. ha!

Have a great week everyone and enjoy the beautiful weather while it lasts, because you know what they say "April showers, brings May flowers!" :)

Growing so fast....

My little chasers is almost three months old!! can you believe it! he is getting so big and he has been going through a growth spurt. Last week he had a dr's appt. and he was a whopping 11lbs. 5oz. 22.5 inches long. he seriously gained a pound in a week. he is such an angel baby.he sleeps through the night now. he goes to sleep around 9:30p.m. and doesnt wake up until 5:30am! and he will just wake up ,want to eat and go right back to sleep until 8:30am. its been wonderful and such a welcomed change since his big brother did not sleep through the night until he was like 6 months old (can we say colicky!). I cant believe how fast they grow. its such a bitter-sweet thing, because you want them to grow up, but at the same time you dont. :) We love our little Chase and his sweet smile and cute little cry/voice.

How adorable is he?!.....yes in fact I'am very proud! his smile just brightens my day!

*of course my voice is loud and annoying, but hey its my baby!*

of course I cant blog without talking about my Coby-bear. he is such a great big brother and he never ceases to amaze me. we love you big boy!

I know he seriously is looking more and more like me everyday. oh how much I love my boys!

here is Chase and Jonathan playing in Chases Crib

here is our attempt at getting a family photo. I look like crap, but thus is the life of a mother of two. however I have to say we are a dang cute family. Nope Im not biased when I say that!

he's here......

this is a little last in posting, but Please join me in congratulating my brother-in-law and sister-in-law (andy and Jurelle) on the birth of their son Jonathan Drew born April 15th, 2008. Jonathan weighed in @ 8lbs. 3oz. and he was 20 inches long. he is perfect such a cute and sweet baby! my sister-in-law said it took 4 pushes and he was out. Can we say LUCKY!!! what a beautiful family they have and were so excited for my niece to have a little brother and for Chase to have a cousin so close in age. I know they will be such good budds when they grow up right along with the rest of our fam.

How stinkin' cute is he huh? :) and what a beauiful family! we love you guys CONGRATULATIONS!

Long Time, No Blog.....

so after a two week hiatus from blogging (sorry folks, but ive been a little busy!), I figured I better update. well April has been a very interesting and busy month so far. Nate has finals all next week then he has a whole week off (wahoo) before summer semester begins, he has done fantastic and I couldnt be more happy or proud of him. GOOD JOB SNUGGLE-BUNNY!! :) I LOVE YOU!... so anywho lately we have not been able to have family home evenings on monday nights because nate usually has class on mon.'s from 5-8:30p.m. so we have resorted to having F.H.E. on wednesday nights and this is a little late but we decided one night that we would take coby to the Y.M.C.A. to go swimming (its a indoor, heated pool) since he hasnt gone swimming since last summer, well that boy enjoyed it so much that he had a huge melt-down tantrum when we were done, because he totally wanted to stay. here are a few pictures of that night:

a little timid at first

Kick, Kick, Kick Coby!....daddys such a good coach!

WHOA!! Mommy its cold! (look at the expression on his face can we say *PRICELESS*)

this is how Chase and I contributed in on the fun. since Im not cleared to swim yet from the dr.after the c-section. we just sat back and watched the fun. cant wait for chase and I to be able to join in on the fun

well that was fun. what a great F.H.E. it was. I only hope that Coby remembers these special moments that I hold so dear, when he gets older. (might I say what a sweet picture this is!)

also a couple weeks back Nate and I were able to sneak away for a few hours and have a little date to ourselves. Thank you to our good friend Robyn for watching the kids (Robyn and I have started to swap babysitting since its so expensive now-a-days to pay for a sitter on top of a date) "You're awesome Robyn!" ;)...so what may you ask did we do for our date well we thought we would add a little romance in the date by going "MINI-VAN SHOPPING", I know peer romance huh?! ha :) no we didnt end up getting anything, but we looked, a little F.Y.I. all the car dealerships in Iowa close at like 6! yes folks 6p.m.! on a saturday like the busiest day of the week, oh well thats Iowa for ya!...well after the mini-van shopping we thought we would add even more romance (not like we hadnt had enough already) to the night by eating at the one place that just screams romantic, yep thats right "PERKINS!" (ha im such a comedian huh!) for those that are so far away perkins is like a dennys or a I.H.O.P....then after dinner we decided to act like a couple of school kids and make-out in our car in a park parking lot (we really do that alot) on a serious note we really had a blast and it was fun to act like kids who were dating again.

heres a pics from the night:
