on a not so good note...

well one of the big test results came back today and chase is positive for R.S.V.....so we will definitly be here for a couple more days at least. they still have not gotten the test results back for the pertessis (sp?) virus which if he has that as well then we will definitly be in the hospital longer. poor little guy he is such a trooper though, they have to suction his nose ALOT and he just coughs and coughs and cries because hes coughing, but he is still such a pretty content baby and a super sweetheart. well as soon as we get the results back for the pertessis test I will blog about that. Thank you to everyone who has been so kind and thoughtful with encouraging words and your help and prayers!...we love you all

A little too much deja-vu......

rewind to about 3 yrs. ago when coby was about six weeks old, he was hospitalized for a dangerously high fever (104f to be exact) and they thought he had spinal meningitis, luckily he didnt, but he did have a really bad virus that caused him to stay 4 days (miserable days), it all cleared up and he was perfectly fine after that, but none the less it was one of the scariest things I have ever gone through, to see my baby hooked up to all those machines and just hanging on pins and needles trying to figure out what was wrong with him, to this day still haunts me and I still have a hard time not busting into tears, just talking about it. fast-forward to the present now my sweet little 12 day old Baby Chase is in the hospital! (my absolute worst nightmare realized) with what dr's cant figure out just yet what is wrong with him, there testing for R.S.V. , pertessis and a few other viruses, but we dont have any of the results back yet. I just dont understand why this has happened again, my poor sweet baby has been coughing, vomiting and breathing kind of funny and it sucks and its scary and I'm just so frustrated and frankly a little depressed. dear friends i dont want to wallow in my own self-pity, but please pray for my little family. I will update as soon as I get the results of the test and I'am just praying that Chase doesnt spark a fever, because he will have to have another spinal tab done.

Dun-tadah..HES HERE!!!!!.......

one proud grandma...thanks mom...I love and miss you already!

he just loves his bouncer!

dont pay any attention to me i look like crap

see what i mean...one proud daddy!

one proud daddy!!!

look at all of that hair!!!!

just minutes after he was born! awww

Nate being silly anxiously awaiting the arrival of Chase, as you can probably imagine he was even more anxious then i was I think

waiting to be wheeled back for the c-section (i waited 5hrs.) because apparently there was a full moon out and my dr. had 10 (yes 10!) c-sections before me which included 2 emergency c's so needless to say i was beyond tired (after 57hrs. of labor!) and anxious

Coby waiting for his brother ever-so-patiently

yes dear family and friends after 5 hospital visits/stopped labor (2 included over night observation.....GRRRRR) an amniocentesis, lots of drugging and finally and I MEAN FINALLY! a c-section, we are so excited and pleased to welcome Chase Anthony Robinson, born Monday 2/8/08@9:09p.m. 7lbs. 1oz. 19.25 inches he is such a sweet, sweet baby we could not be happier or feel more blessed, he is the perfect baby, he sleeps 5 hours at a time at night, meaning i will feed him @ 9p.m. he will wake @ 2a.m. feed for 30min.and then go back to sleep until 7-8a.m. he is so healthy and happy and content i just could not ask for a better baby, I paid my dues from the aweful colicky nights with coby which lasted the first 4months of his life, so THank you so much to my heavenly father for the sweet blessings he has brought me, I'am just so grateful!..Coby just loves his little brother he just wants to love on him and kiss him and when chase cries coby is right there to help he tries to stick the binky in his mouth or bring him a bottle or he tries to pick him up (which has been hard to explain to coby that hes still too little to pick up the baby) he is just not bothered by him in the least bit which is a pleasant surprise, because for anybody who knows Coby he is very clingy with both his dad and myself and I really thought he would have a melt down with having a baby getting alot of our attention, but like i said to my pleasant surprise he has handled everything really well. as for how I'm doing...im doing very well this whole going from 1 child to 2 im not going to lie has been a little challenging, but im handling everything pretty well (i think anyway) especially considering that i have been doing everything pretty much on my own since day one, because we dont really have much family here and nate has been back to school since the day after chase was born so yeah id say im doing pretty good, it has been alot easier this time around than it was with having just coby, im not having the post-partum and i just feel really good (thank goodness) and im happy to brag that i'am already back in my pre-pregnancy sexy JEANS!!! yeah!! there a lil tight but i give it about one more week and they will fit like a glove, i know im bragging, but its something that really has me feeling good so there!....anywho on a not so happy note, my other sweet baby, Coby has come (to my horror) down with a mild case of the CHICKEN POX!!!! I know scary huh?! were not really sure how he got exposed to it, but yeah even though hes had the vaccine he still got it and I have been absolutely terrified that he will give it to my baby chase, I spoke with the pediatrician who asked if there was somewhere that my baby could go for a couple of days till the spots scab over and I ever-so-sadly explained to him that we are about 2,000 miles away from the nearest set of grandparents so no! and he said just try to keep them away from each other the best you can and wash your hands constantly (DUH!) :) so please join us in praying that chase doesnt get the chicken pox. the pediatrician also said (on a lighter note) that because i had the chicken pox when i was little that babies are usually born with some what of an immunity to them during the first 4 weeks after there born so please like i said lets pray. well I will leave it on that note and leave you guys now with a few pictures of our sweet baby, sorry it has taken me so long to post this, but i like i said it has not been the easiest going from 1 to 2 so i havent had the time to update, but i promise to update alot more frequently now.Love you all!
here is a funny video of coby dancing...he just loves thomas the train and video of chase and the nursery
